FONBO RELEASES ITS ABSOLUTE LANGUAGE APPLICATIONS FOR MOBILE DEVICES
New mobile device language applications eliminate the language barrier for travelers in foreign countries.
SAN MATEO, Calif., September 23, 2003. FONBO LLC today announces the release of its multimedia ABSOLUTE Phrase Guides in Spanish and French. This set of applications, for mobile phones and personal digital assistants (PDAs), will let you to get through the communications barrier and make you feel more at home when you are doing business, studying, or vacationing in a foreign country.
The guide contains more than one hundred and fifty common phrases and words that a traveler would need. Categorized in different daily situations, the guide allows travelers to find the phrase they need with few clicks of a button. Fearful travelers can even talk to the local people with a press of the sound button, which speaks out the phrase they need. The phrases are separated into the following categories to match travelers' needs:
Basics (basic conversation; pickup lines; swear words; numbers; time; day, months and seasons)
Transportation
Food
Accommodation
Shopping
The products are currently available in the following platforms: Symbian Nokia Series 60 platform, Palm OS version 5.0 or higher, and Microsoft Pocket PC 2002 or higher. They are available from www.handango.com. Future versions in other languages, e.g. Chinese, Korean, Japanese, and Slovene, will be introduced.
